Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson’s Eisner nominated Nowhere Men is set to return in January 2016, pairing returning colorist Jordie Bellaire with newcomer Dave Taylor on regular art duties. Taylor, who recently collaborated with Chip Kidd on the New York Times bestselling Batman: Death by Design, is already calling it the best work he’s done in years in a press release issued by Image. The series revolves around four scientists who came together to found the most influential company in the world, only to have the results of their work come back to haunt them.
In addition to Taylor talking over for Nate Bellegarde, who drew the series’ first six issue arc, the seventh issue will also feature a sketch diary drawn by Emi Lenox belonging to the daughter of the Emerson Strange character. Lenox is currently working with Bellaire on Plutona, which she draws and co-writes with Jeff Lemire, also for Image Comics.
Nowhere Men was nominated for four Eisners in 2014; Best Writer, Best Penciler/Inker, Best Continuing Series, and Best Colorist. Jordie Bellaire won Best Colorist for her work on several titles including Nowhere Men.
Nowhere Men #7 is scheduled for release Wednesday, January 13th. Diamond Code NOV150515, final order cut off is December 21st.
