Every year, Hollywood releases hundreds of movies. On top of that, every year people outside of Hollywood make hundreds of movies. The result is thousands of movies, many of which fall through the cracks, delude your local multiplexes, your video on demands, and other media devices. Out of those thousands of movies, only a handful will hit the sweet spot of across-the-aisle appeal. That narrow margin wherein, if you land a movie there, be you raging socialist or raging libertarian, muslim, christian, atheist, gay, lesbian, trans, bi, pan, genderqueer, asexual, whoever– the movie lands.
